Norway is the only nation Brazil has faced that they have never defeated.

In total, Norway has played four matches against Brazil. The first match was a friendly match in 1988 that ended 1–1. In 1997, Norway won 4–2 at Ullevaal Stadion. The following year, the teams met again at the 1998 World Cup.

Then Norway won 2–1 and advanced to the knockout round, where Norway’s last World Cup match so far ended with a 0–1 against Italy in the round of 16.

In 2006, Norway played Brazil in another friendly match. This time, too, the match ended 1-1, just like in the very first meeting between the nations.
