Nightmare! Mega frustrating! Disaster! These were some of the headlines in Danish newspapers after Denmark, the big brother in Scandinavian football, did not get a World Cup ticket on Tuesday. For the Bodø/Glimt supporters, there was a big bright spot: Kasper Høgh continues to deliver under pressure.

The Czech Republic scored after just under three minutes, only eighteen minutes before full time did the Danish boys manage to reduce the deficit. The playoff final went to extra time, again Denmark came on the defensive. The Czech Republic went up to a 2-1 lead after 100 minutes played. Kasper Høgh fulfilled his dream with his debut for the Danish national team last game, this time the Champions League star of Bodø/Glimt showed why.

15 minutes on the pitch, scoring in the 111th minute. The score sent Denmark to a penalty shootout, but not to the World Cup. Højlund, Dreier and Jensen all missed their penalties, for the first time since 2014, Danish players are allowed to watch the World Cup from the corner.

Sad for Kasper Høgh, of course, but for the Bodø/Glimt supporters another confirmation that they have the striker for the big occasions.
