It is still not clear who will be Manchester United’s head coach next season. INEOS and Ratcliffe are reported to want Michael Carrick, while the chief operating officers are leaning towards a more experienced coach with titles on his CV. United legend and grumpy Roy Keane, plus Paul Scholes believe Carrick is and will remain a lightweight. When you have followed the energy of the United players and the unity on the pitch, directly after Carrick’s entrance as manager, there is little doubt about what the players themselves think of Carrick as a manager. Now the campaign starts.
The United management will not make the decision until after the end of the season, but know that key players the club wants to keep need a coach they believe in and know get the best out of themselves and their teammates. Amad Diallo has no problem showing the world who he wants on the sidelines on matchday next season.

-For me personally, he is the right man. He has a lot of experience and he knows the club and its DNA. He is good friends with all the players. I think he can take the club to the right place. It’s not us (the players) who decide, but I would be happy if he was the head coach permanently,” Diallo said.
We predict there will be more declarations of support from United players towards the end of the season.
