Since his transfer to Sevilla in 2023, Ørjan Nyland has been praised by the Spanish media for several periods after strong performances against the biggest La Liga clubs, where Spanish newspapers described it as outstanding play by the Norwegian national team goalkeeper. Until last season, Nyland was a given in the starting eleven, but this season “our man” has been relegated to the bench.
Nyland started the season as the first goalkeeper, but was benched after the first four games. According to Cadena Cope , the decision has been made to sack coach Matias Almeyda, the decision is expected to be made public this week. The former AEK Athens coach thus does not last a season.
