There is always extra attention in a transfer window when a new manager takes over at the big clubs. Enzo Maresca and Chelsea agreed at the beginning of January that the way forward for the parties had to go separate, in came Liam Rosenior from Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg in Ligue 1. Now the Englishman’s first signing is in place, it is of the long-term variety.
Liam Rosenior has made his first signing as Chelsea manager since replacing Enzo Maresca. The 41-year-old has had a brilliant start at Stamford Bridge, with four wins out of his first five games as manager of the Blues in all competitions. Rosenior is also working hard to shape his squad and has brought an exciting young talent to the ranks in West London.

Chelsea have won the race to sign Sheffield Wednesday teenager Yisa Alao. According to Goal , Manchester United and Liverpool had also shown great interest in the 17-year-old, but Alao chose Chelsea in a transfer of around £500,000 plus add-ons.
Chelsea confirmed the transfer in a statement on the club’s website: “Chelsea are delighted to announce the signing of Yisa Alao, after the left-back has signed a contract with the Blues until 2028. Alao has since played four more games, starting Wednesday’s FA Cup match against Brentford and Championship match against Portsmouth. Welcome to Chelsea, Yisa!”
