Centre-back Jonny Evans has a similar story, he was promoted to the first team two years later than Tom Heaton in 2015 after various loan spells he was sold to West Bromwich in 2015.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano writes today that a decision has been made and that both Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans will leave Manchester United this summer.

The British media have repeatedly reported on a major purge at Old Trafford after the end of the season, where up to ten players could disappear.

Their skills should not be wasted! Heaton and Evans can still stay at Manchester United – as coaches. According to the Daily Mail, there are discussions about which roles in the club’s academy could be suitable.
