The 30-year-old Lukaku spent the 2022/23 season at Inter, with whom he finished third in the league, won the Coppa Italia and played in the Champions League final against Manchester City (0:1). Although Inter wanted to buy him from Chelsea, the Belgian accepted the offer made by AS Roma. This did not go down well with Inter fans.
