We have just received the latest information regarding Simona Halep’s doping ban. Are you curious? The tennis player doesn’t give up.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport announced that Simona Halep has officially filed an appeal against the four-year doping ban imposed on her by the International Tennis Integrity Agency Tribunal.

In October 2022, Halep was temporarily suspended by the ITIA after testing positive for the anti-anemia drug Roxadustat. In May, Halep faced a second anti-doping charge after irregularities were discovered in her athlete’s biological passport. In late September, the tribunal finally imposed a four-year doping ban on Halep after finding the former tennis world number one guilty of two anti-doping violations.

Halep maintains she is innocent and did not dope. She also informs that she has documents confirming that she took the substance unknowingly. Laboratory tests of all the supplements taken by Halep showed that one of them was contaminated with Roxadustat at the production stage. The court reportedly did not want to accept Halep’s documentation. Halep has now officially filed an appeal against her four-year doping ban, and we will keep you updated on developments.
