We are reasonably sure that one of the best football players of all time (that discussion never ends) who has been measured more than once is not lying on the height. Those of us who have been in the same room as the jaded Portuguese superstar can confirm he is at least 185 cm tall.
I will not this time write about how idiotic it is to arrange a football World Cup in the United States, or the very dubious meeting in the White House, but rather, like many others, I get hung up on the mystery REVEALED by Cristiano Ronaldo’s own photos in social media.

The Great Height Mystery of the White House Gets Everyone Talking
The official figures say one thing, but the pictures from the White House tell a completely different story. US President Donald Trump and Portuguese soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo met in Washington, and the internet was having a lot of fun over their height difference.
Donald Trump’s stated height is a solid 190 cm. Cristiano Ronaldo is officially 187 cm. Simple math, right? Trump should be three centimeters taller.
But then Ronaldo posted photos and a video from the visit on Instagram, and suddenly nothing made sense anymore. In all the pictures, the footballer appears to be looking down – literally – at the hopefully soon former president.

Social media enjoyed itself and quickly became a gathering place for amateur investigators and comedians:
- “Something is not right here.”
- “Maybe Cristiano Ronaldo went to the White House to prove that Donald Trump is not 190 cm tall.”
- “Either Donald Trump is lying about his height, or Cristiano Ronaldo is wearing heeled shoes.”
As the Mirror US dryly noted: “Donald Trump has confidently claimed that he is 190 cm tall, proving it during a medical examination earlier this year. Until he met the 187 cm tall Cristiano Ronaldo in the White House.”

A recurring theme
This is not the first time the former president’s height has been questioned. Back in August, a photo with Finland’s 189 cm tall president Alexander Stubb showed that the Finn looked taller. And when he met the 191 cm tall Prince William of Wales, Trump also looked several centimeters shorter.
Of course, it is always possible that camera angles play tricks on us. But for now, the People’s Court has sat down, and the conclusion is that something is… Not quite right.
Meanwhile, at the gala dinner
Beyond the hay debate, the meeting was a star-studded affair. The 40-year-old Al Nassr star, who was in the United States with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, met Trump in the Oval Office, where they reportedly discussed world peace.
Later, an official dinner gathered an unusual guest list: Cristiano Ronaldo, Donald Trump, Georgina Rodríguez, Elon Musk, FIFA President Gianni Infantino and golf legend Tiger Woods.
