L’Équipe has now revealed which superstars earn the most on a monthly basis – and the list contains a couple of surprises.
As expected, Erling Haaland, who recently signed a new deal with Manchester City, tops the list. His agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has claimed that the Norwegian star will earn over one billion euros during his career. Although his new deal doesn’t quite get there, he still earns €2.57 million a month.
This amounts to around €593,000 a week or €30.84 million a year.

No other Premier League player comes close to Haaland’s salary, but the one who comes closest is Manchester City teammate Kevin De Bruyne, who earns €2.1 million a month.
In third place are Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester United’s Casemiro, who both earn €1.8 million a month.

Both could leave the Premier League in the summer. Salah’s contract with Liverpool is running out, and he can follow Trent Alexander-Arnold out the door as a free agent, while United want to get rid of Casemiro because they are not getting value for money.
Two underperforming stars round out the top five: Marcus Rashford, who is impressing on loan at Aston Villa from Man Utd, and Raheem Sterling, who is not delivering in the same way on loan at Arsenal from Chelsea. Both earn €1.67 million a month.
Mbappé beats Haaland and Vinícius Jr. as Europe’s highest-paid footballer
The very highest salaries are still found in Spain.
Kylian Mbappé earns €2.67 million a month and has the highest monthly salary in European football, slightly ahead of Vinícius Junior at €2.5 million. This is said to reinforce Viní’s desire for a higher salary – or perhaps even a move to the Saudi Pro League.
At Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski earns €2.17 million, which also puts him ahead of Haaland.
In the Bundesliga, Harry Kane and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala are the highest-paid at €2.1 million a month, while Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic has the highest monthly salary in Serie A at €1.62 million. Ligue 1’s highest-paid player is PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé, who earns €1.5 million a month.
