On Monday, we called it the Premier League’s most stupid sacking, when it was reported that Sean Dyche risked being sacked as the third Nottingham Forest manager this season if he didn’t win the next Premier League game. There was a draw against Wolverhampton on Wednesday, not many hours later Dyche was done at the City Ground.
Okay, Nottingham Forest are three points above the relegation zone, but Dyche took over in October, was nominated for the manager of the month award in January and has given the club 6 Premier League wins, with the wild 0-3 win against Liverpool at Anfield on top.

If there’s one coach you want on the sidelines in the fight for survival in the Premier League, it’s Sean Dyche. For us, it’s crazy to dump one of the best Premier League coaches in January, who has actually been successful, given the starting point in October. Now Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has once again tapped the panic button, once again the Greek billionaire is going back to “the familiar”. When Greek-born Ange Postecoglou was brought in, this was a coach Evangelos himself thought was perfect. 8 games later, Postecoglu was history.
According to The Athletic , Marinakis brings in Vitor Pereira, who was sacked at Wolverhampton in the first part of the season, but who saved Wolves last season from relegation despite a difficult start. In addition, Forest owner Marinakis has a shared past with Pereira from Olympiakos, where the Portuguese led the club to a Greek championship.

For us, you don’t dump the proto-English fighter Sean Dyche before the mud wrestling that makes up the relegation battle.
