If we are to believe all the reports that the English media picks up from Arsenal, there should be no doubt that Alexander Isak has a big, big fan in Mikel Arteta. The challenge is, of course, that Newcastle will make it financially painful for those who will persuade the club to sell the Premier League’s best/second-best striker. This week, the focus could change on Emirates.
Andrea Berta came in as the new sporting director at the weekend, the genius sports director behind the success of Atletico Madrid together with Diegoe Simeone. Two of Berta’s top priorities should be to follow the signing of Martin Zubimendi and Nico Williams all the way in, but Arsenal must and should have a striker who delivers 25-30 goals every season. According to The Athletic, Berta has a clear favourite to bring to the Emirates: Viktor Gyökeres.
