If there’s one coach who’s bored with press conferences, it’s Australian Ange Postecoglou. No wonder when he has gone from being one of the Premier League’s best managers last season, to being asked every week after the New Year if he is “afraid of losing his job”. On Wednesday, it was a more relaxed Postecoglou who met the press. Now it’s about the semi-finals and an opponent Tottenham “should” beat.
At least these are the expectations on the ball island. The Tottenham coach shows he has a background that does not lure him into the same expectation trap by looking at the club size and geographical location of Bodø/Glimt.

Bodø is a small club, you are a bigger club. How does this affect you mentally?, was the question at Wednesday’s press conference.
-That’s what you want us to believe. That this is a small club, and that we don’t consider Bodø to be anything. No, no, it’s not like that. Bodø is deservedly there. They beat Lazio, they beat Olympiakos, who are tough teams,” Posetecoglou begins, according to Football-London.
-They are there because they are a good football team. It doesn’t matter where you come from. I come from the other side of the world, where football is the fourth biggest sport. I don’t underestimate anyone,” the Australian continues.
“You said we’re a big club, they’re a small club, it doesn’t matter. We are two clubs in the semi-finals of a European tournament, and they have earned the right to be there. They have done well to get there. We want to treat them with the respect they deserve and at the same time make sure we go in there and give our best performance,” says Ange Postecoglou.

We have heard many coaches of big clubs “pat Bodø/Glimt on the head”, and then underestimate the Norwegian club. Ange Postecoglou does not. He has also lost before against Kjetil Knutsen as Celtic coach and knows what is to come.
