A given in Thomas Frank’s starting eleven. Guglielmo Vicario was admittedly tipped off after a goalkeeping blunder this month, but is still the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at Tottenham, the goalkeeper with the spectacular saves and central to their success in the Europa League last season. Now the Italian has asked for an exit, it is reported.
According to Gazzette dello Sport , Vicario has told his agents that he wants to leave Tottenham after this season, i.e. two years before the end of his contract, with the next stop being Serie A.

The Italian media claims Inter Milan are throwing themselves at the opportunity. The club tried to sign Vicario without success when he was in goal at Empoli, now Inter are ready to negotiate with Tottenham. When the goalkeeper wants to leave, there is little the Spurs management can do – except make sure that it hurts financially for Inter.
The Italian media has calculated that Inter will have to pay up to 30 million euros, for the player Spurs themselves paid 20 million euros for.
We don’t know where the first goalkeeper’s sudden need to leave Tottenham comes from, but it’s not a good sign for a club in mini-crisis.
