Luis Enrique rejects Manchester United – negotiates new contract with PSG
Luis Enrique has given Barcelona and PSG the Champions League title ten years apart. In both 2015 and 2025, the Spaniard was named the world’s best coach. Internally at Manchester United, Enrique is seen as a very strong candidate to lead Man Utd, in the last week there have been reports that the Red Devils are active in securing one of the market’s big coaching guns, but at the same time there are reports ticking in that signal this is to no avail.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has been linked with Manchester United in recent months. Now, The i Papers’ Peter Hall claims that the Spaniard has decided on his future. – After winning the Champions League last season, the wealthy French club Paris Saint-Germain has come up with a unique contract proposal.
Despite Enrique being one of the leading candidates for the coaching job at Old Trafford, he is now entering contract negotiations with PSG. The 55-year-old’s current deal expires in 2027, but all indications are that he will remain in Paris.
Rumours have it that Luis Enrique is being offered a salary of 60 million euros and close to veto power in transfers and strategy for the team.
Thus, it may appear that Michael Carrick’s stock has not exactly weakened – as the list of current manager options continues to shrink.

- Time at Barcelona (2014–2017): Led Barça to a historic treble in 2015 with La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League. His team embodied one of the most attacking and entertaining styles of play in modern times, led by the MSN trio of Messi, Suárez and Neymar.
