Cristiano Ronaldo was paid to shine on the Saudi Arabian league and attract the biggest stars from Europe. CR7 has done an excellent job as an extremely well-paid ambassador, but for the club that houses the Portuguese, Ronaldo has not had the effect they thought they were buying.
In recent months, Ronaldo has been rumored to be leaving, with the 2026 World Cup just a season away, there are whispers that Ronaldo is heading back to Europe to play himself into the form he needs before his final championship. There have been some statements from the 40-year-old himself that signal that this is true, so next week that this is just nonsense. On Monday evening, another statement was made, this one we can only interpret as – now it is happening.

Ronaldo’s contract expires this summer, on Monday he played the last game of the season for Al Nassr, here too it ended in a loss. After the game, Ronaldo posted a message on social media:
“This chapter is over. Story? It continues to be written. Gratitude to all.”
After following CR7 and knowing the dramaturgy surrounding the icon when he has to make changes in his career, we understand something is going on.
Then we are waiting to be informed by Ronaldo where “history continues to be written”.
