Southampton are relegated, but after a 0-0 draw against Manchester City last round, the Saints were adamant about leaving the Premier League with a shock win, or points against Arsenal. For a long time, it looked like Arsenal would do as City, but captain Ødegaard ended the season with the goal the supporters have been waiting for.

Will Still is ready to take over the management of Southampton, the young manager could see his players show good, old, English all-in football. The referee looked at the clock with one minute left of the game and thought this was probably going to be a draw, but Martin Ødegard would end the season for the visiting supporters with one last goal. The captain knocked in a goal from outside the box, a 1-2 win for Arsenal and a 2nd place in the Premier League.
