Pep Guardiola has asked Manchester City to land a deal for Atalanta star Ederson. The Brazilian midfielder, a key player in Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad, has caught the attention of several European giants.
Since arriving in Bergamo, Ederson has shown steady growth. With 107 games played, nine goals and three assists, he has become an important element of Atalanta’s tactical scheme. His ability to recover balls, start plays and bring dynamism to the midfield has not gone unnoticed, both at his club and on the Brazilian national team, where he was first called up in June last year.
The progress has been so great for Ederson that just a year ago a valuation of between 60 and 70 million euros would have been too high, now it is not at all certain that it is enough. Atalanta know what they have.
Calciomercato’, Atalanta are aware of the interest in their player, while they are said to be unwilling to negotiate his exit this winter. However, they have already set a starting price of €60 million, a sum that Manchester City should be willing to pay. – Even more so if they manage to make a transfer in January.
Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are in on the ball and will help drive up the price further.
