It is not easy for Marcus Rashford to manoeuvre his life in a superstar existence when supporters take a lack of goals or extra-sporting focus as a personal provocation against them. We remember the nightly city trips to Rashford at Manchester United, now the Aston Villa supporters have also gotten hung up on what happens in the evenings.
Crystal Palace knocked Aston Villa out of the FA Cup with a convincing 3-0 win in the semi-finals. Marcus Rashford on loan has given Villa supporters plenty to cheer about with 4 goals and 6 assists in 17 games, but against Palace, the 27-year-old was out with a hamstring injury.

So the sight of video with Marcus Rashford at a boxing match on the night Villa gave up their final ticket was too much for some.
A number of fans criticised Rashford for going out to enjoy himself after Villa’s loss. Here are some of the comments that ticked in on social media.
@Cantona_Collars said: “Marcus Rashford is tone-deaf. He misses a semi-final due to injury that your team loses, and then heads out for a social event.”
@Mairecait_ added, “Wonder why Ruben wouldn’t have that attitude around him, what do the Marcus defenders say?!”
@ManUtd_addicts wrote: “Marcus Rashford was obviously injured for the Villa semi-final at Wembley in the meantime, Rashford… If you ever wondered why Man Utd want to get rid of him, then you have the answer right here. He hasn’t cared about football for a very long time. Facts.”

However, several came to Rashford’s defense, insisting that he has every right to go out for social events, as his time away from football is his own.
@WeAreThePaxton wrote: “I always find these types of posts weird. There is a life outside football.”
@FootieThinking said: “People who watch Premier League football are weird. He doesn’t owe any shit, brother, the brothers are off work and want to watch boxing – act like adults.”
@Unpaid_Pundit1 concluded: “He has an injury that means he can’t run 90 minutes? That doesn’t mean he can’t sit down and watch boxing? What on earth.”
