Thomas Frank has landed at Tottenham. The successful coach at Brentford is leaving the club he has lifted to the Premier League and established himself, the parting gift was 10th place in the Premier League and £10 million in compensation to Brentford for Spurs buying the Dane. Now Tottenham will return to a more cynical but entertaining Premier League football that Frank has succeeded in at Brentford. A few days after Frank is clapped in as Suprs coach, the first signing is in place.

Mathys Tel pushed for a loan from Bayern Munich in January, the 20-year-old was tired of being at the back of the playing time queue at Kompany. It seemed like Tottenham were not the first choice for the German striker this winter, but that has now been forgotten.

The young German didn’t take long to adapt to the Premier League, which is not a given when it comes to Bundesliga players. The 20-year-old stood in 20 games with 3 goals and a twitch and technique that caused problems for the opposing full-backs.

On Sunday, the confirmation came from the London club: Mathys Tel signs a permanent transfer with a six-year contract and thus becomes Frank’s first signing. Fully tested.

Tottenham will pay £30 million for Bayern’s super talent, it is reported. Congratulations!
