The 24-year-old English attacking midfielder Angel Gomes has grown up since leaving Manchester United on a free exit to Lille in 2020.

There was some talk of a transfer in the summer, but Angel’s style of play and temperament did not suit manager Erik ten Hag. Ruben Amorim, on the other hand, loves what he sees. Transfermarkt has steadily increased Angel Gomes’ valuation since he left Old Trafford.

In the summer, Angel Gomes’ contract expires, became a race, especially now that a player worth 28 million euros can sign for free.

Sky Sports reports in the morning hours that after his debut earlier this autumn for the English national team and now the following three caps, a return to Manchester United is in the offing.

Rúben Amorim, who has just taken over as manager, is behind the possible transfer, as he is said to have admired Gomes for a long time.

But United could be challenged by Tottenham for the midfielder’s signature.

“There will always be a sentimental feeling, so of course it would be difficult to say no (to Man United),” Gomes has previously replied to the question of return.
