Thomas Frank is under enormous pressure at Spurs after suffering another serious home defeat on Saturday.

Tottenham have identified their primary replacement for Thomas Frank after his side suffered another disappointing home defeat to West Ham. Spurs lost 2-1 at home to the “Hammers”, who secured a big win thanks to Callum Wilson’s last-minute winning goal.

This defeat to a team in the relegation battle was the ninth time Spurs have been beaten in the Premier League this season. Frank has only won two of eleven home games.

Tottenham are down to 14th in the table after 22 games, and Frank is under even more pressure despite only taking over the job in 2025.

Speculation surrounding Frank’s uncertain future is mounting, with Football Insider reporting that the club has already made a decision.

According to a report by Wayne Veysey, the chant of “sacked in the morning” will lead to Spurs stripping Frank of his position, after his position became “untenable” as a result of a horror season with only three wins in 15 games in all competitions.

Spurs have already worked to find a replacement for Frank when he is sacked, and are considering all possibilities for both temporary and permanent appointments.

This summer, three of the Premier League’s highly-regarded managers could become available, as Andoni Iraola, Marco Silva and Oliver Glasner all have expiring contracts.

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino’s name has also been mentioned. The Argentine is said to be interested in a return, but only after he has led the United States at the World Cup, where they are one of the three host nations.

However, Spurs’ first priority is Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler.

The 32-year-old took the helm at Brighton last season and became the youngest permanent manager in Premier League history.

Hurzeler led the “Seabirds” to an 8th place in the Premier League, and his work has impressed Spurs. They see him as the ideal candidate to lead the club forward.

The former St. Pauli boss has a contract until 2027, but could have an important decision to make if Spurs make an offer.

BBC Sport reported that Frank is now under “significant internal scrutiny” and that at least one member of the club’s management team has discussed the possibility of ending the Dane’s tenure.
