In the summer, Tottenham explored the possibility of exploiting a buyout clause in the contract of Morgan Gibbs-White at Nottingham Forest. It was a possibility, but the 25-year-old is said to have opted for stability at Forest at the time, citing family reasons for staying. A month or so later, Tottenham pull the same plan out of the drawer.
According to Caughtoffside’s sources, Tottenham are working on a new push in January. Morgan Gibbs-White’s future at Nottingham Forest will once again be a hot topic when the January transfer window opens, despite the England midfielder committing to a new contract with the club earlier this summer. The contract extension initially dampened speculation about his next transfer, but interest from Tottenham has increased in strength, with Aston Villa, West Ham and Newcastle also on wheels.

The England international is made for Thomas Frank football, where he can be deployed in several midfield roles, or even further forward behind the striker.
