Big money is being cashed in in the CL, but it is the swallow plunge in the Premier League for the second season in a row, which really makes the money run out of the club. Especially when this season there is a real possibility of relegation from the Premier League.
At the weekend, Igor Tudor was brought in as interim Tottenham coach, but it did not create much enthusiasm. The former Juventus coach will start without a Premier League game on his CV, neither as a coach nor a player. The Croatian is a skilled coach, and should of course be given a chance, but with very important negotiations on sponsorship deals, Tottenham need immediate results in the Premier League and a greater distance to the relegation battle.

The Telegraph has calculated that the London club risk “catastrophic” drops in revenue if they are relegated and miss out on European matches.
The English newspaper claims “commercial partners are already reviewing their contracts with the club. the inability to secure an arena sponsor for the magnificent Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could prove crippling.”
“Experts” claim Spurs – regardless of whether relegation out or not, face a financial loss in sponsorship deals that could amount to tens of millions of pounds. A long-term sponsorship agreement expires after the season, and that it is unclear whether an extension is in the pipeline.
