Tottenham, under the leadership of chairman Daniel Levy, have now done something unusual to want to win a transfer battle by bidding over Manchester United by a large margin.
A number of events have occurred that have led us to exactly where we are today.
One: Tottenham won the Europa League after winning the final against Manchester United. This means that Tottenham have qualified for the Champions League while Manchester United will not play in Europe next season. Two: Manchester United started negotiations with Brentford, who at the time had Thomas Frank as manager for their biggest attacking star Bryan Mbeumo. Three: Tottenham, who landed on the bottom of the clubs that were not relegated to the Championship, sack manager Ange Postecoglou. Four: Thomas Frank is hired as a replacement after a £10 million buyout from Brentford. Five: The Danish manager’s biggest wish is to bring Bryan Mbeumo to London.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham have already initiated talks with Brentford about the 25-year-old attacker.

According to reports, Mbeumo is now more interested in a move to Spurs after Thomas Frank was appointed as the club’s new manager. Frank comes from Brentford, where Mbeumo was one of his most central players.
Although Manchester United are also showing interest in the Cameroonian international, they previously rejected a bid of £45 million plus 10 million in bonuses.
On Friday afternoon, the British Mirror reports that Tottenham have now made a bid that is as much as £10 million higher than United’s offer.
