Now it is reported that a strong candidate is at Manchester City.

With strong competition from Newcastle, James Trafford was signed this summer, the Burnley goalkeeper has the potential to take over as England’s national team goalkeeper. The 23-year-old started the season as the first goalkeeper, had some less fortunate interventions, then came the shock in the transfer to September. The shock was Gianluigi Donnarumma, the world’s best goalkeeper.

Last month, Trafford himself spoke about the tough surprise, but that he continues to work to get his chances.
The chances have come in the cups. Trafford stood solid all the way to the League Cup victory in the final against Arsenal, in the FA Cup the 23-year-old has guarded the cage for City to the semi-finals, where the Liverpool hurdle was passed with a 4-0 victory.
Still, Trafford wants more. According to The Sun , Tottenham are considering investing in James Trafford as a Vicario replacement.
