In recent years, Tottenham have run their business with an owner in Joe Lewis (Enic Group) mostly concerned with relaxing in the Caribbean, and a chairman in Daniel Levy who was terribly tired of the job.

Their lax attitude actually made them choose to hire the “brilliant” Fabio Paratici who through his work for both Juventus and Sampdoria has proven he is not a whole. – What has been revealed is bad enough, but just like Donald Trump in the Epstein Files, there is a lot that is still hidden.

“Brilliant…. Phew!”

If I had been in the manager’s chair, I would never have picked up a character like Fabio Paratici.

Until two months ago, everyone thought Fabio Paratci was history at Tottenham, but after two years he was back as sporting director: “I’m happy,” he said in a statement.

In 2023, Fabio Paratici, 53, was suspended for being involved in financial fraud at Juventus, where he worked from 2010 to 2021. At the time, the Italian was sporting director at Tottenham, and as a result of the verdict, his contract with Spurs was terminated.

The Tottenham owners celebrated what they thought was a real warp of a signing, when they in 2021 persuaded the genius sporting director Fabio Paratici to take the job as Director of Football. The former Juventus director went out loud, brought in Antonio Conte and players from Serie A, but disappeared right after Conte left/was fired in March 2023. Paratici was sentenced to a 30-month ban from football for accounting fraud during his time at Juventus. After the quarantine was over in October, the Italian returned to Spurs, but apparently not for long.

The London club announced that he will become sporting director together with Danish Johan Lange, 45. He said: “I’m happy to return to a club I love. I have been working with Johan (Lange), Vinai (Venkatesham, CEO) and Thomas (Frank) as a consultant for a number of months and I am looking forward to returning to London and joining the team full-time. I am convinced that together Johan and I can build a special future for the club and our supporters.”

The scandal-ridden Fabio Paratici now looks set to leave Spurs.

According to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, he is close to securing a position at the crisis-stricken Fiorentina, and there is talk of an assignment as “Head of Football”, which translates to sporting director. Paratici is said to have given the green light, and a contract until 2030 is said to be in place and secure also a little under the table.
