It really doesn’t look good for Tottenham who are down in 16th place in the Premier League. – The only thing left of this season is the Europa League where they are one of the last four.

Now the London club can cash in on Manchester City’s plan to reclaim the throne next season.

Tottenham willing to sell £50 million player the Sky Blues really want

Manchester City look set to have a busy summer after a disappointing season, and one area that needs improvement is defence. The right-back position, in particular, has been problematic since Kyle Walker’s dip in form and subsequent exit, leaving the club determined to bolster this position in the transfer window.

When it comes to goalkeepers, one of City’s main candidates is a player they previously had in their squad. Pedro Porro was signed from La Liga club Girona in 2019, but was sold to Sporting CP three years later without having played a single game for City. Now may be the time for a return.

Porro, who has also been linked with Real Madrid, is considered one of the Premier League’s best right-backs, and Pep Guardiola’s style of play fits well with his qualities.

Tottenham puts a price tag on Porro

The good news for Manchester City is that a deal could be done this summer. According to TBR Football, Tottenham are open to selling Porro, as they see Djed Spence as the player who can take the right-back position forward.

It is reported that Tottenham will consider offers in excess of £50 million for Porro, and with Manchester City having shown a willingness to pay large sums for defenders in the past, it would not be surprising if they make an offer of that magnitude this summer.

A deal could end up benefiting all parties, although there will no doubt be Tottenham supporters who won’t be happy if the club decides to sell Porro – especially to a league rival. Now it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
