David Beckham has a position in England like few other players. Kyle Walker is the iron man who has uncompromisingly thundered back and forth on the right wing for Manchester City and the English national team. Walker is known as a tough guy, but when it comes to Beckham, the 34-year-old shows a “softer side”.

Walker is on loan at Ac Milan before the rest of the season, so far there have been 5 games on the pitch for the Englishman. The observant have noticed that Walker is running around with shirt number 32. Those who are particularly observant know this was David Beckham’s shirt when he was on loan to AC Milan from LA Galaxy in 2009/10.

“I don’t think I can emulate David Beckham for what he did for football, both on and off the pitch. He changed football,” Walker begins, according to Goal.

Who sent a message to Beckham asking for permission to wear the 32 shirt.

“He sent me a message and I said, ‘I hope you don’t mind me taking your number.’ He said, ‘No, it’s an honor; do it with pride,” says Walker.

Walker intends to do so.
