Romsaas, who is Sporting Charleroi’s first signing this summer, has been impressed by the young Norwegian international’s technical skills. The 21-year-old has played 69 games for Tromsø, he has scored 15 goals and provided 9 assists.

Romsaas has signed a contract that extends until the summer of 2027, with an option for another two years.

Romsaas came to Tromsø from Skeid before the 2023 season and quickly established himself as an important player.

The club management thanks you for your efforts

Tromsø’s sports director Lars Petter Andersen says to the club’s website:
– Jakob came to us in 2023 and became an important piece in a fantastic season. Now is the time for him to take on new challenges and develop further. This will also be one of our larger player sales in recent times. We thank Jakob for his efforts and wish him all the best in Belgium.

Romsaas thanks back

The young Oslo boy himself looks back on his time in the north with great gratitude:
“I could never have dreamed of having such a good time as I did in Tromsø. Here I have made fantastic friends and learned an incredible amount – both on and off the field.

New chapter in Belgium

Romsaas will now try their luck in Charleroi, who won the Belgian B-playoffs last year and thus secured European Cup play. The player also has international matches for Norway’s U21 national team on his CV.
