When we all thought it was going to be the toughest league in the world, the attacking midfielder chose the port city of Naples. Here, the Danish international confirmed that he actually turned down Liverpool. Two years later, the 25-year-old is probably wondering what it would have been like to kiss the Premier League trophy with Arne Slot and the gang.
Lindstrom has after his transfer to Napoli confirmed he received an offer from Liverpool, but chose Napoli because the prospects for playing time were better. The Serie A club pulled out €30 million, made sure Klopp didn’t get the new Bundesliga star – and put the Dane on the bench for the rest of the season, with occasional appearances. After the Eintracht exit, the arrow has pointed just south of Jesper Lindstrøm.

There was no success at Napoli or on loan to Everton in the 2024/25 season. Now it’s time to return to the Bundesliga to restart his career at Wolfsburg on loan with an option to buy in the contract.
“I want to kickstart my career and find myself again. I feel like I’m a better player now, but I just have to show it, and I really want to,” Lindstrøm told the club’s website.”This is a place for me, because it’s offensive football with a lot of goals.
