Mario Gila’s development

In just two seasons, he has established himself in Serie A, playing almost 100 games for the Napoli club and showing solid defensive reliability. His good performances have attracted interest from several major European clubs, including Inter Milan, who are also following him closely.
Chelsea sees the Gila as a safe bet
Chelsea, who have several defensive uncertainties – including doubts over the future of Chalobah and Badiashile, as well as Fofana’s injury problems – see the Gila as a reliable and experienced option. Lazio have set a price of around €30 million for him, a sum that does not pose a problem for the financially strong English club.

While Huijsen is preparing to become a Real Madrid player, Chelsea have already contacted Gila’s representatives.
