This summer, Norwegian national team players will get on the plane to a championship, for the first time in over twenty-five years as something other than tourists. This time, Norway is back in good company, Ståle Solbakken has stood rock solid through the storms as the Norwegian national team coach, will lead the nation through the World Cup playoffs, and then probably hand over the baton. In the background, a smiling United legend is getting ready for when the job becomes available.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently in between jobs, on the Stick to Football podcast, the former Manchester United manager is asked about his next job.

“I’m looking ahead. I’m open. It’s not like I’m desperate to be back. But yes, in England I love living here too. If it’s Norway, it’s Sweden, it’s anywhere, it’s about working with people. I just love trying to get the most out of them, or getting them to be the best version of themselves, and help the club,” Solskjaer said.
Who, of course, gets questions about the job as Norwegian national team coach.
“We still have a good coach; we are on our way to the World Cup. Who wouldn’t want to work with Erling Haaland again?, says the United legend, with his usual sly smile.

Solskjaer has previously stated that he would be happy to take another round as Manchester United manager if the club calls. Now we have learned what other coaching job he will take without thinking about it.
