Cardiff has a history that allows the club and supporters to have ambitions in England’s second division. With three games left in the season, it’s now all about preventing relegation. On Good Friday, the club management made the decision to make a change that will give the Cardiff players a boost in the battle with Plymouth, Luton, Derby and Hull for a place above the relegation zone.

And the change is of the sensational kind. Omer Riza is sacked, midfielder Aaron Ramsey is brought in from the injury bench at Cardiff to have the head coach responsibility for the last three games.

Ramsey will be joined by assistant coaches Chris Gunter, Joe Ralls, Tom Hutton and Matthew Bloxham. Ramsey played the last game in March before a new hamstring injury, now the player with 369 appearances for Arsenal is thrown into the ring, this time along the sidelines.
