In 2018, Manchester United brought in Diogo Dalot from Porto. With the exception of a loan spell at AC Milan in the 2020/21 season, the Portuguese has seen United managers come and go. The breakthrough came to the right-back under Erik ten Hag, when Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s attacking shortcomings sent the Solskjaer favourite to the bench. Now Dalot firmly believes Manchester United are on track for the long-awaited Premier League title.
Dalot was a given in the starting eleven for Ten Hag, the same for Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese is the player who plays just as naturally at right-back and midfield, as on the left. After almost two months with Amorim at the helm, Dalot is anything but pessimistic after a historically weak start for a United manager. Contrary.
When asked how far Manchester United can go with Ruben Amorim, Dalot’s answer was crystal clear.
“To be honest, I think we can win the Premier League under this manager. Realistically, we can win the title,” Dalot begins to the club’s website.
