A new striker is on his way to Manchester United this summer. The only question is whether it will be Liam Delap, or a twice as expensive Osimhen who demands at least £10 million in annual wages to pull on the United shirt. For Rasmus Højlund, this means that his place as the planned first striker disappears. The Dane is ready to fight, but Ruben Amorim needs strikers who know nothing but to create the obvious scoring chances. Serie A clubs have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old in recent months, but should not have it easy.

Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan are some of the Serie A clubs that have picked up on the signal that Hojlund will be available in the summer. The Dane still has a high star in the Italian league after his stay at Atalanta with 10 goals in 34 games.

Tuttomercatoweb in particular highlights Juventus as the most persistent to sign the Dane, but according to the Italian media, Manchester United have set a very high threshold for entering into negotiations.

United are only said to be interested in selling, not renting, the negotiation door is opened for bids from 60 million euros, reports the Italian media.

It doesn’t exactly sound like Italian clubs can carry and defend a Rasmus Hojlund signing in this price range. The risk is too high to bring in a €60 million striker who works hard but has done everything but give Manchester United goals.
