There have been rumours that former Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino have been in talks about a job in the Premier League. The rumours alone are said to have set the pond on fire.
The United States, who are already qualified for next year’s World Cup as they are the organizers along with Mexico and Canada, hired the Argentine manager to lead them through the championship. With Mauricio Pochettino, the United States have a chance to go relatively far in the championship, without which they will be eliminated at the first opportunity.

One idea that can secure World Cup gold for the USA is to not let in any football players with tattoos and throw them in jail until the championship is over. -Well…
Fans of the US national football team (yes, they apparently exist) have demanded that Mauricio Pochettino be replaced, after it was suggested that he was being interviewed for another Premier League job.
Pochettino was hired in his current role in September last year and has won eight of the 13 games he has been in charge of so far. Pochettino is well known to English football fans after having had three Premier League jobs in his managerial career.
The Argentine spent almost 18 months at Southampton before moving to Spurs in 2014, and he spent more than five years in north London, where he took the team to the Champions League final in 2019.
After being sacked by Spurs due to poor results and a spell in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, Pochettino spent one season at Chelsea.
Despite securing sixth place in the Premier League, Pochettino left Stamford Bridge after just one year, before becoming manager of the United States in September last year.
One Premier League club that has recently had a change of manager is Brentford, after Thomas Frank left the “Bees” to take over the vacant position at Spurs following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou.
Despite winning the Europa League, the club’s first trophy since 2008, the Australian was dismissed after Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League.
Brentford have since filled the vacancy following Frank’s departure by appointing Keith Andrews as their new manager. Andrews was already part of the London-based team’s coaching staff.

Brentford’s sporting director Phil Giles said:
“Keith is a very good match. He gets along well with everyone, he is very open and he is a learner. Keith is clear in what he wants, he is detailed, and the players and staff like and respect him. He understands the players in the group and the way we have played and trained under Thomas Frank. Keith will bring his own development, but is not starting from scratch, so hopefully we can make rapid progress. He is a very good coach and has clear ideas about how he wants the team to improve. We were looking for someone who could not only maintain what we have been doing, but actually try to be better.
However, according to Irish publication The 42, it has been suggested that Pochettino was interviewed for the job by Brentford, along with ex-Leicester City and Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper.
Pochettino himself has denied that he spoke to Brentford about the job, according to Fox Sports, in response to the story.
But on social media, USA fans are demanding that Pochettino be replaced after speaking to Brentford.

“If this report is true, I have lost what little respect I had left for Pochettino. If you don’t want to train the USMNT, just go.

“If it’s true, he has to go.”

– This does not look good.
While another said:
“He should be fired immediately if the report is true.”
