Brazilian defender Vinicius Nogueira leaves Halmstad and is loaned out to Vålerenga.
But it is not the sporting aspect that means that Vålerenga now gets an unexpected reinforcement. Recently, it became clear that Vinicius Nogueira did not get a work permit and thus could not be registered for play in Allsvenskan for Halmstad. A decision HBK has appealed.
Fotbollskanalen could reveal that the player wanted to break his contract due to the problems and when the transfer window in Sweden closed on Tuesday, things looked bleak.

“This is a situation we had hoped to avoid” says HBK’s club director Jesper Westerberg to the club’s pages and continues, but under the circumstances we had to find the best solution possible. The most important thing is that Vinicius gets to play football again and that he gets to be in a match environment where he thrives. We see this as a positive solution for all parties
Yesterday, the Norwegian transfer window closed, and late on Thursday evening there were reports that the full-back was approaching an exit from Allsvenskan and a transfer to Vålerenga.
And now on Friday, it is clear that Nogueira will be loaned out to Vålerenga, who are back in the Eliteserien after a season down in the OBOS-Liga.
The loan lasts through the coming season, and there is also a purchase option included in the agreement.
“I’m very happy about this and that I finally get to get back on the pitch again and have the opportunity to play football. It’s a new challenge for me, and I’m really looking forward to getting started,” says Vinicius Nogueira himself and continues:
– Thank you HBK, the club, my teammates, my coaches and all the supporters for the support you have given me. I really appreciate everything you have done for me, and I wish you the best of luck in the 2025 season.
Vålerenga’s sporting director Joacim Jonsson on the signing: “Vinicius is a player we have been following for a while, and we were in and looked already in the autumn, but then we didn’t get anything done. It was a race against the clock, and we are very happy that it worked out. We won’t get him ready for Sunday, but are working to get him ready to play next weekend.
The 23-year-old had an impressive season last year and accounted for seven assists in 29 Allsvenskan games for Halmstad. The full-back came to HBK in February last year from Varberg.
