Real Madrid fans are resentful of their own club’s sale of Martin Ødegaard to Arsenal.
In the summer of 2021, after a slew of loans and almost no playing time at all during the six years Martin Ødegaard was under contract with Real Madrid, he was sold to Arsenal for just €35 million. Now Arsenal want to repeat the success of Arda Güler who does not get many minutes under Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Despite arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu with high expectations, the attacking midfielder has not had the appearance many had expected. Injuries and stiff competition in the white squad have limited his minutes, fuelling rumours of his possible dissatisfaction. Ancelotti has prioritized experience, and kept young talents like Güler waiting.
Arsenal, known for their ability to nurture new talent, could be the perfect place for the Turkish player to unleash his full potential. The presence of Mikel Arteta, a coach who has successfully built a solid project based on young promises, is particularly attractive to players in similar situations.
The final decision will not only depend on the player, but also on Real Madrid’s attitude, as they may be reluctant to let go of one of their gems. However, if Arsenal take action and Güler insists on seeking more time on the pitch, the transfer could become one of the most important moves in the upcoming market. All signs indicate that the Turkish talent will not stay much longer in the shadows.
