According to The Athletic’s sources, Jürgen Klopp is said to be content in his job as big boss of Red Bull’s football venture. Pep Guardiola dryly stated, when Klopp announced he is retiring as coach in 2024, probably for good, that “He’s like me, he has to go back”. At Real Madrid, there are forces that believe Klopp must be tempted back to get the club back on track.
Carlo Ancelotti had a combination of inherent authority and closeness in his leadership style at Real Madrid. So did Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool. Xabi Alonso is now worrying the Real management. Not only with the club’s disastrous 0-2 loss to Celta Vigo, now with six points out of a possible fifteen in their last five La Liga games, but also what they see as a weakening relationship between Alonso and key members of the squad.

Although Klopp has repeatedly stated that he is no longer interested in the head coaching job, his name has resurfaced in Madrid circles. According to El Mundo, some in the Real management see Klopp as the type of coach capable of restoring authority in a divided squad.
Then we’ll see if the Spaniards can tempt Klopp back into the ring. The opportunity to lead Real Madrid is another job Klopp will see as a great honour to be served.
