Mathys Tel has been given limited playing time at Bayern Munich this autumn, with the 19-year-old recording 244 minutes of play this season.

The striker, who is clearly in Harry Kane’s shadow, now has interest from the Premier League. According to Sky Sports, Nottingham Forest, who are now in 3rd place in the Premier League, want to bring in Tel on loan in the January window. Werder Bremen are also said to be interested in signing the Frenchman this winter.

Tel himself should want to be fighting for the place rather than moving on. Bayern are said to be open to giving the 19-year-old playing time at another club in the spring, but not selling.

Tel moved from Rennes to Munich in the summer of 2022 for €20 million. Since then, the French U21 international has played 56 games, scoring twelve goals and five assists.

Mathys Tel extended his contract with FC Bayern this spring. The Frenchman is under contract with the giant until the summer of 2029.
