Sindre comes to the Blues from Danish side FC Nordsjælland for an undisclosed transfer fee and has signed a five-year contract until the summer of 2030.

For a long time, it looked like Dutch PSV would walk away with the signature of the Norwegian U-international, but the Nordsjælland player chose Ipswich.

The 19-year-old, who has already debuted for the Norwegian national team, will wear the number eight shirt after his transfer to Town, which is completed after international clearance and EFL approval are in place.

“I’m very excited to have signed for this club,” Sindre said after the transfer was completed to Ipswich’s sides.

“This is a club with a great history and good plans for the future, and this is something I really want to be a part of.

“As soon as I found out that Ipswich were interested, I was thrilled to come and I think this club is the perfect place for me to develop in my career.

I’ve had some great conversations with the manager and now I’m looking forward to getting started, meeting my teammates and also the supporters.”

After coming through the youth department to Sandefjord in Norway, Sindre moved to Denmark at the age of just 16 to sign for FC Nordsjælland.

From there, Sindre broke into the first team of Nordsjælland and became a regular contributor, with a total of 40 games for the club and 11 goals, mainly from the right wing.

He has played six games for the club at the start of the new season, scoring two goals, including the winning goal in his last game for Nordsjælland at home against Viborg on Monday night.

After being selected for Norway from U15 to U21 level, Sindre made his debut for the senior national team in a Nations League match against Kazakhstan in September 2024.
