Ange Postecoglou has had his first training sessions as Nottingham Forest manager. Anyone think the Australian has lost confidence after 17th place in the Premier League with Tottenham and sacked this summer after the Europa League title? Not this guy. Now he gives the Forest supporters a heads up that they want to experience a whole new kind of football – but which will give the Champions League ticket and success in the Europa League. Just fasten your seatbelt, Arsenal will be the first opponent to feel that Postecoglou is back.
“If you look at my first year in the Premier League, we finished fifth at Spurs. A fifth place last season would have given us a Champions League ticket. We were very aggressive in our style. Some people say it doesn’t work, but we finished fifth and we had even just lost Harry Kan,” the Forest manager said.

Which asks Forest supporters to look at Tottenham’s first season in the Premier League under Postecoglou, not the season he “sacrificed” the league to prioritize Europa League title.
“My last year was different. I want to play football that is exciting and football that gets people talking,” Postecoglou said at a press conference, according to the BBC.
