The Danish international was weighed too lightly at Tottenham, a club that in the last two seasons without Hojbjerg finished first in 17th place in the Premier League, this season in danger of relegation. This makes the Dane the highest-paid non-PSG player in Ligue 1 and shares 13th place overall.

Salaries have never been higher at Marseille, who are second in the newspaper’s calculation – PSG are at the top.

The average salary at Marseille is €300,000 per month, which puts them clearly ahead of rivals such as Stade Rennais FC (€118,000), Lyon (€110,000) and RC Lens (€80,000). Ousmane Dembélé is the player who earns the most in France.
