Wilson left Newcastle United when his contract expired at the end of June. Due to new players, there are now reports that West Ham are close to an agreement with striker Callum Wilson to terminate his contract.
Wilson joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer and has scored four goals in 18 appearances. Later today, Tuesday, West Ham host Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium in what is being referred to as a game of fate for manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

However, the Englishman’s chances in the first team are expected to be limited following the arrival of strikers Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos this month.
The 33-year-old player wants to continue playing regular first-team football and is not interested in accepting a peripheral role.
The expectation is that Wilson will leave the Hammers, and sources confirm that talks to release him from the remaining six months of his contract are now being concluded.

Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed talks on Monday, saying: “Me and Callum have had a lot of conversations, just ten minutes ago we were talking about that situation.
Two strikers have been added, that’s right. I personally decided that these strikers should come along. Callum is a very experienced man, he has been in the game for so long, he knows that his position has changed.
We were honest with each other. Yes, your position has changed, but you are still a player for the club and we may still need him and he should help us because he went to us.”
