A surprising transition may be imminent.

Jarrod Bowen is said to have ‘made a decision’ about his West Ham future, while there are fears that the Hammers could be relegated from the Premier League.

West Ham find themselves in 18th place in the Premier League after a 5-2 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, despite having only one defeat in their previous eight games.

Nuno Espírito Santos’ side are just two points away from safe ground, with Nottingham Forest, Spurs and Leeds United still within reach.

In recent years, Bowen has been the club’s leading player, scoring 21 goals in the Premier League since being named captain at the start of last season.

The England international signed a long-term deal back in 2023 that ties him to the London Stadium until 2030, but should West Ham be relegated, a transfer would be expected.

Bowen ‘very open’ to Hammers exit
According to TeamTalk, both Manchester United and Tottenham will be ready to strike for the 29-year-old if the Hammers are relegated, and Bowen is ‘very open’ to a transfer.

It’s not the first time Spurs have been keen to capture their rival’s captain. The London club have enquired about Bowen’s availability in previous transfer windows and consider him the ‘complete footballer’.

However, Spurs’ ambitions to sign Bowen will also depend on Igor Tudor’s side avoiding relegation themselves, as the club is yet to win a Premier League game in 2026.

Other clubs that have been linked include Liverpool, Newcastle United and Arsenal, but TeamTalk insists that West Ham will be ‘extremely protective’ of their captain for as long as they have the opportunity.

Bowen’s current market value is £52.5 million, but buying clubs will expect to be able to negotiate down the price if the London club ends up playing in the Championship next season.

For now, the England star’s full focus is on keeping West Ham in the Premier League, as well as his personal ambitions to make Thomas Tuchel’s squad for this year’s World Cup.
