At the weekend, Barcelona regained the lead from Real Madrid in La Liga. Two of the team’s Spanish stars, Pedri and Ferran Torres, were interviewed by the TV channel Antena 3 after the Levante match. Among other things, Hansi Flick’s German approach to time and punctuality was revealed.
The two Barcelona stars praised their coach, but also revealed that the German is strict and uses stinging financial penalties to keep the squad focused.

“Flick is strict when it comes to punctuality and order in the dressing room. He wants us to pick up our underwear from the floor. If you are late, you will have to pay a fine on the day of the match. If you’re 20 minutes late, you might as well stay home! If you are ten minutes late, it costs 40,000 euros,” the Barca players said according to Mundo Deportivo.
Who at the same time admits that Flick has a good point in his penalty.
-… If you’re late on a match day, you’re not focused,” the duo concludes.
So no “mañana, mañana” with Flick at the helm. Nothing is said about what the fine money is used for. Will be a bit too violent a team party if the fine box is emptied for the closing party.
