The U.S. international has two strong offers to leave AC Milan

Yunus Musah, midfielder for AC Milan, could be in his final days at the San Siro. The American player, with a Ghanaian background and Spanish football education, is now a target for two Premier League clubs: Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.

The season looks set to be challenging for the Rossoneri. After failing to qualify for European football, Milan will have a season without midweek games, affecting the club’s sporting planning. In addition, the loss in the Coppa Italia final caused the club to lose a place in the Europa League, reducing the opportunities for player messes and visibility for certain players in the squad.

Restructuring underway
In the midst of this restructuring, Massimiliano Allegri is leading a new project that has already led to signings such as Koni De Winter, Ardon Jashari, Luka Modrić, Pervis Estupiñán and Samuele Ricci. In the coming days, the loan agreement for Rasmus Højlund can also be confirmed. However, Musah’s situation is different – the club is willing to consider offers for him.

Chelsea and Nottingham Forest battle for Yunus Musah
Nottingham Forest have been following Musah for months and plan to make a formal offer in the upcoming transfer window. According to The Telegraph, the plan is to secure a loan deal with an option to buy, which will give the midfielder the opportunity to adapt to English football before a possible permanent transfer.

At the same time, Chelsea also have him on their list of future targets, although it seems unlikely that they will act in January. At Stamford Bridge, they already have a crowded midfield with players like Moisés Caicedo and Enzo Fernández, both key players for Enzo Maresca. Still, their long-term interest is real, and the London-based club could make an offer later.

AC Milan negotiates sale of Yunus Musah
Musah joined Milan in 2023 from Valencia CF, who received around €21 million for the transfer. In his first season in Italy, he played 40 games, and during this season he has already played 36 games. Despite regular playing time, he has yet to score for the Rossoneri, with only five assists in this period.

He left a significant mark at the Mestalla, with 108 appearances, five goals and three assists. His time in Spain was marked by his early breakthrough and the 2022 Copa del Italia final, where he missed a crucial penalty against Real Betis.

Now, all signs point to the upcoming transfer window opening the doors for his return to England, where he was developed in Arsenal’s youth academy. Nottingham Forest seem best positioned to reach a deal, but Chelsea remain in the background. One thing is for sure: Yunus Musah’s future seems to lie far from AC Milan’s.
