AC Milan are not quite reaching their goal of European greatness just yet. The Serie A club’s American owners Elliott Management Corporation gave Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic an important managerial role as their link to Europe, but after failing this season in several rounds as a result of his selection, Zlatan has his wings clipped.
In fact, there are rumors that 40-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic is thinking about a comeback and that there should be opportunities in MLS.

Sergio Conceição, who took over as manager of AC Milan this winter, will have to take his hat and go, despite being on a contract until the end of next season.
Short term at AC Milan
This winter, Zlatan Ibrahimovic “his man” Paolo Fonseca was fired as AC Milan manager and shortly afterwards Sergio Conceição took over. The Portuguese signed a deal that stretched until the summer of 2026.
But he has not been able to turn around the very disappointing season for AC Milan. The Italian giants are in ninth place in Serie A and have been eliminated from the Champions League. – A championship they do not qualify for next year.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the partnership between Conceição and AC Milan will only last until the summer, despite the contract. The newly appointed coach is expected to leave the club when the season is over. – He will be bought out of his contract with around one million euros.
Romano also mentions that João Félix will return to Chelsea in the summer. The London club will attempt the near-impossible task of selling him back to Atlético Madrid.

Conceição on the situation in crisis-stricken Milan
Conceição recently spoke about his position at the weakened Milan club:
“I have one thing to say: I have a job to do. And I don’t need someone to calm me down. I don’t have to – I depend on the results,” he said at the end of March.
