Alexander Sørloth has played his way into La Liga as a goal machine. In 171 league games, the Norwegian international striker has 72 goals. At Villareal, he became the league’s second highest scoring player. In his debut season at Atletico Madrid, Sørloth hammered in goals as the league’s 4th highest scoring player. Last season, he showed a scoring form in the first months of 2026 like no other in the league. And the offer is on the table. According to Caughtoffside’s sources , Manchester United have been offered a Sørloth signing for around £30 million, with the Red Devils not turning down the offer.

Sørloth represents a solution for Manchester United in their bid to add depth and experience to the centre-forward position.
Atletico Madrid were recently on the hunt for Nicolas Jackson, but the Senegalese striker left for Aston Villa, illustrating the Spanish club’s need to strengthen their attacking capabilities. Should Julian Alvarez stay at the Estadio Metropolitano, Atletico could consider letting Sørloth leave before the transfer window closes.
“The experienced striker has been a consistent goal threat for Atletico Madrid and has physical attributes suitable for the Premier League. The Red Devils have not ruled out the signing and are open to a loan deal as an alternative to a permanent transfer,” reports the English media.
